Search the interwebs and there are tons of advice on what it takes to be successful.
- Sleep for 7 hours
- Don’t use social media
- Engage with your community on social media
- Learn to focus
- Learn how to handle multiple tasks
- Meditate
- Exercise
- Drink water with lime
And I’m sure you’d find a lot more crap.
Amazon literally has thousands of books on becoming successful.
You’d think that if it was that simple there’d be one to rule them all.
The truth is that it’s all bullcrap. All the studies and empirical evidence has not done anything except showing what a particular successful person has done. Yet you’d probably find quite a few others who do things differently and have still been successful.
I know successful people who juggle a million things and others who focus on a few things. Those that are very people-oriented with open-door policies, and those who are arseholes that live behind closed doors.
To me, there’s no secret sauce, other than the one you create.
So, I’m not following any person’s recipe or blog posts on the "X things that successful people do before y am", and neither should you.
Instead, try to be genuine, look to serve others, set a goal in mind and work hard. That’s what I’m going to do.
I’m not amazingly rich, but I’m no loser. If I help at least one person, I can say that I’ve been successful. And I know I’ve helped far more people than that.
