Another millionaire created this weekend. The lotto winner went away with TT$15.9 million (US$2.4) in a few blinks of the eye.
Why couldn’t that be me? Well… I didn’t buy a ticket, so it would be weird if I did. I hope to earn my money the old fashioned way – that a rich relative dies and leaves their fortune to me. Which reminds me, I’ve got to get in touch with my rich relatives.
I still wonder what it would be like to win such a large prize? So I thought about it, and here’s what I decided I would do if I ever won a big jackpot in the lottery.
Firstly, give some money to charity… HA HA HA HA HA! That cracked me up. I wonder how many lottery winners actually did this?
The first thing I’m actually gonna do, is go to the most expensive restaurant and buy a lavish meal with the most expensive bottles of wine and gorge. I might even take along the wife and kids.
Secondly, trade up on all my old stuff. The car, house, clothing, electronics. I’d have the biggest and the bestest of stuff.
Next, I’ll spend a few nights at the Hyatt penthouse suite, for some peace and quiet so I could think about what to do with all that money. Sometime during my stay I’ll ask for a buttermilk bath. A man with all that money needs to have a good complexion.
After that, I’ll sell all my old new stuff – after all, they’re all old now – and buy newer stuff.
Then I’d hire a private jet to take me all over the world so I could stay in expensive hotels. I’d steal their towels so that I could still stay true to my roots.
When I return home, I’ll call up some bankers to meet and discuss how to manage the rest of the money. This will be the easiest thing, as I would have less money than before I had won the lottery.
And so ended my life as a lotto millionaire.
